This is even different technique. My tools were a piece of paper, pastels and a camera. I took photographs of each step. This is the outcome:

I'm quite happy with it but I can't understand why is there a stop of movement at the start.
The second version has a lighter background. This gives it a cleaner look:

I've managed to do it on all of the layers by creating an action that I've played over each layer.

Another technique
This time I've created the animation by scanning the swirls each time I drew something to them. This took a lot of time and the outcome doesn't satisfy me at all. I know for sure I will not use this technique in my final piece.

Animated Gif
I've animated the title of this blog and I've tried to upload the final giff instead of the title still image but even playing around with HTML codes didn't help. This is why I've decided just to post it here:
I have created it on photoshop with animation option. I feel most comfortable animating in photoshop. The way I have done it was by rubbing the bits of the writing on each copied layer and reversing it at the end. This gave me 144 layers. The aim of it was to create the feeling that this was written.

Experiment
![]() |
I know that my response to those is not perfect but I thought I could mix Laura's illustrative style with photo. This is what I want to do at the end anyway. To create my response I have used a photograph with a filter on it and hand drawn swirls with use of colour markers scanned and joined with the photo on photoshop.

Hershey's - 'Happiness Is...'
Hershey's - 'Happiness Is...' on the Behance Network
This is an example of what technically I would want to produce for my final piece - a stop motion animation with hand drawn shapes.

.pen tool exercise in illustrator
I could use an Illustrator to generate shapes in my project. This is why I have tried this tutorial that showed me how to generate vector shapes step by step. It was really helpful and I have learned basic short cuts to create the word above.

discovering the power of colour part 7.orange
Orange is liked by cheerful, quick witted and talkative people. This colour give dynamic feel to this photo. It is also a very warm colour although it contrasts very cold blue.
discovering the power of colour part 6.black
Black rules this Channel commercial photo. It shows a girl laying down on a sofa. She wears black laces, her hair is black and she has got a heavy black make-up. This colour symbolises being rebel, in this case fighting with conventional clothing.
discovering the power of colour part 5. yellow
This is Jil Sander's commercial photo. The picture is very simple. The main thing we are concentrating on is her hair and it's because of the light that lightened it. She looks like he is staring at someone. Her hair is yellow. This colour symbolizes in this case jealousy, persecute and prejudice. Although this colour also means seeking for happiness what she could be doing as well.
Black surrounds her what gives a mysterious feeling to it.
discovering the power of colour part 4.purple
Purple is a very rich colour that in this case tries to help the model look more extravagant. The model's position is central and her hair and her dress is floating. Red's role on this photo is to emphasis the energy of the model. Black bits ale balancing the whole poster because black is official.

discovering the power of colour part 3.green
This is a photo taken by Juergen Teller and it's not a commercial this time. The main colour here is green which symbolises natural world. But on the other hand green also symbolises naiveness what could be seen in those two girls. The second colour that is visible here is white. White flowers symbolises purity and white knee length dresses symbolises their innocence.
discovering the power of colour part 2.red
On this photo there is a couple and the man is holding the woman showing his care towards her and it is emphasised by the red surrounding them that suggests their love. Red also might mean defeat what I think could be appropriate to use to interpret here as well because they look defeated. White space surrounding the picture probably isn't accidental either because it might reveal their innocence.
discovering the power of colour part 1.blue
This is an example of a colour being symbolic used in fashion photography. On the picture we can see a couple - man and woman - in the bath full of water. Their position suggest that they are close and what is emphasising it beautifully are their red lips and her nails that in this case represent love, joy, energy, ferocity and fertility.
The dominant colour is blue. Their clothing and accessories suggest their financial wealth and success. Blue is also distinguishing their authority.

.idea for the brief
The idea is to create an animation that would continue the previous brief which was producing a promotional material for a specific brand.
This time the brand I will be producing the promotional material for doesn't exist.
The animation I will want to produce will be stop motion with drawings and photographs of girls dressed in a theme.
This will be an animation because I want to develop the swirl shapes on those photographs.
